Product Speciality
The 155 mm Shell is about 600 mm long, weighs about 45 kg, and is 155 mm in diameter. These shells are used in howitzer systems having a firing range of 24-32 Km.
The 155 mm shells can be configured in many ways: They can be packed with highly explosive material, use a precision guided system, pierce armour, or produce high fragmentation. Other variants include smoke rounds to obscure troop movement and illumination rounds to expose an enemy’s position.
The 155 mm Shells are so popular because they provide a good balance between range and warhead size. If you have too small a shell, it will not do enough damage and go as far. If you have a larger shell, you cannot necessarily fire it as far. This is the most common middle range, and that’s why it’s so widely used.
In Ukraine, 155 mm Shells are being fired at a rate of 6,000 to 8,000 a day. In the near future also this size is also going to be used most.
